PROJECT
Lighting Retrofit
The conversion of the empty William Beatty School to affordable housing has been a huge project for the Parry Sound Non-Profit Housing Corporation, and the first of its kind in the province. Lakeland Power was pleased to be able to assist with an application to the Save on Energy Retrofit Program for the LED lighting that went into the 45 new apartments and replaced old fixtures in the Community Hub areas. Due to their status as a non-profit housing provider, the organization was able to double their base incentive of $19,475. In addition to the incentive from Lakeland Power, the facility is expected to save over 155,000 kWh annually, dramatically affecting their energy bills.
