The new Paramedic/Fire station at 225 Taylor Road houses the District of Muskoka Paramedic Services and the Bracebridge Fire Department. The building was designed to be energy efficient, including LED lighting inside and out. An application to Lakeland Power for the Save on Energy Retrofit program for the lighting resulted in an incentive of over $12,000. The project is estimated to save almost 170,000 kWh annually over standard incandescent lighting.
