What is a planned outgage?
Planned outages are outages that we typically schedule in advance so that we can work safely on our system. To ensure the safety of work crews and the public, some of this work can only be done with the power lines de-energized, which usually means an outage for some of our customers.
When will the outage occur?
To upgrade equipment throughout the areas of Bracebridge, Huntsville, and Parry Sound, Lakeland Power will require several 10 to 15 minute outages that may affect 1-12 customers at a time. The work will be completed over the next few weeks, Monday to Friday between 9 am and 3 pm. Please note that this interruption will affect Security Alarms, Elevators, Electric Garage Door Openers, Computers, and Sump Pumps.
By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
